Stanozolol, commonly sold under the name Winstrol (oral) and Winstrol Depot (intramuscular), a synthetic anabolic steroidderived from dihydrotestosterone. Developed by Winthrop Laboratories (Sterling Drug) in 1962, approved by the FDA for human use.
Unlike most injectable anabolic steroids, stanozolol is not esterified and sold as an aqueous suspension, or in oral tablet form. The drug has a high oral bioavailability, due to a C17 α-alkylation which allows the hormone to survive first-pass liver metabolism when ingested. It is
because of this that stanozolol is also sold in tablet form.
Stanozolol, used in both animal and human patients for a number of conditions. In humans, it’s demonstrated to be successful in treating anemia and hereditary angioedema. Veterinarians may prescribe the drug to improve muscle growth, red blood cell production, increase bone density and stimulate the appetite of debilitated or weakened animals.
Stanozolol is one of the anabolic steroids commonly used as performance enhancing drugs and is banned from use in sports competition under the auspices of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and many other sporting bodies. Additionally, stanozolol used in US horse racing.
Winstrol, man-made steroid derived from the male sex hormone testosterone. The drug was first developed in 1962 by Winthrop Laboratories in the U.K. Originally, Winstrol was used for weight gain and maintenance, and strengthening bone mass.
Stanozolol (Winstrol), along with Anavar, and a few other anabolic steroids survived the renowned anabolic steroid cessation of the late 1980’s. During the 90’s, the steroid used to increase the red blood cell count. Also in the treatment of Angioedema, a hereditary condition which causes tissue beneath the skin to swell.
For a short period of time, the drug discontinued, but short lived, as Ovation Pharmaceuticals bought manufacturing rights of the steroid in early 2003. To this day, Winstrol continues approved for several medical conditions.
Dosage and Usage:
When it comes to anabolic steroids, there are many different dosage guidelines, depending on the particular steroid. With the likes of Testosterone-Cypionate for example; some people will use 200mg a week, but other will use up to 1000mg per week.
Then there’s Winstrol. Winstrol doses tend not to have such a wide range of dosage. The average male will usually take 50-100mg per day, and 10-20mg per day for women. For those who are supplementing for athletic performance the doses are usually lower
Without question Stanozolol is far more beneficial as a best cutting cycle than it is a bulking cycle and many gym enthusiasts and competitive bodybuilding supplement with this steroid for just that reason. Standard Winstrol doses will generally fall in the 50mg per day range for 6-8 weeks with some individuals choosing to go as high as 100mg per day for the entire duration of of the cycle. This level of high dose and can be fairly stressful to the liver as it is very hepatic and can further really curve your lipid profiles in an adverse way.
We can however make an exception with a higher Winstrol doses but only in short term fashion found very useful. Winstrol dosages of 100mg per day for the competitive bodybuilder the last 10-14 days before a competition can be very useful and as this is a very short period of time the liver and lipid issues are not as great of a concern.
Many competitive bodybuilders will often try to supplement with the Stanozolol hormone at 50mg per day for 6 weeks and then increase it to 100mg every day right before a demonstration for the last two weeks to really add an additional level of solidity to their physique.
Improving athletic performance is probably the Stanozolol hormones greatest attribute as it will lend to a better-rounded athlete. Without bringing too much inconvenient additional size. Typical Winstrol doses in this case fluctuate more so than in any other category and can often be as small as 20mg-25mg every other day. Though such a low dose will not have a solid pronounced effect on the physique like cutting doses, it will offer the athlete the bump he is seeking.
While such a low dose is not uncommon. Far more common is dosing of the 50mg range. While on an every other day to every day basis depending on the athlete. Generally 4-6 weeks of use is a very standard procedure for Winstrol doses that meet this purpose.
